Use a grouped product when customers should choose individual products and quantities. Use a fixed bundle when every purchase must include the same required items and quantities.

Example
A workshop starter kit
You sell a starter kit for a drawing workshop. Each kit has one Workshop Notebook and two Blue Marker Sets.
With a grouped product, each shopper selects every item and enters every quantity. With a fixed bundle, you set the kit once. Shoppers then add the complete kit with one click.
- The right items every time. You choose the Blue variation and the quantity of each item.
- A clear price. The kit total is the sum of the current item prices.
- Accurate stock. WooCommerce checks and updates the stock of each item.

Grouped product or fixed bundle?
Both product types show several products on one page. The difference is who decides what goes into the cart.

Four steps
Set fixed bundle quantities in WooCommerce

Install the Free plugin
Upload and activate the Advanced Bundles Free ZIP from Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.

Create a Bundle product
Add a WooCommerce product. In Product data, choose Bundle.

Add items and quantities
Select each simple product or exact variation. Enter the quantity for each item.

Publish and test
Add the bundle to a test cart. Check each item, quantity, and the total.
Fixed bundle questions
Can a WooCommerce grouped product force exact quantities?
No. A grouped product always lets shoppers choose the quantity of each product. To require exact quantities, create a fixed bundle.
Can a fixed bundle include a specific variation?
Yes. You choose the exact variation, such as a size or colour. Every customer receives that variation.
Can shoppers change the quantities in a fixed bundle?
No. You set each quantity, and every customer receives the same kit. To sell a different size of the kit, create a separate bundle product. See what Advanced Bundles Free includes.
What happens when one item is out of stock?
If the required quantity is not available and backorders are not allowed, customers cannot buy the bundle. Stock is checked in the cart and again at checkout.
